Following a meeting between Seimas members Ignas Vėgėlė and Rimas Jonas Jankūnas and Member of the European Parliament Petras Gražulis with John Coale, the U.S. envoy to Belarus, President Gitanas Nausėda is urging that, before similar meetings, it be clarified what values these politicians stand for. The country’s leader suggests that perhaps there would then be less desire for such meetings.
